Thomas A. Constantine NYSP

Tom T Constantine • 6 January 2006

Just read the article on Thomas A. Constantine NYSP. Oddly enough, I retired as a Trooper from the Massachusetts State Police—Tpr Tom T. Constantine #1350 58 RTT 1974-1997. When I was stationed at Troop F Logan Airport, I had cause to speak with then Lt. Thomas A. Constantine, somewhere in NY State. Oddly enough, his parents and my father were from the same town in NY: New Rochelle. Thomas A is of Greek lineage and I am of English lineage. My great grandfather came to Manhattan from England around 1802.

Anyway—when I was reading the article and I had to laugh—I think every state police organization and every large police department has the same problem: the brass are a bunch of horses asses! The plain clothes boobs couldn't find Kate Smith in a phone booth, and the road trooper is the most maligned, overworked, and underpaid person on the job.

I never took a promotional exam because I refused to consort with people like that.

Very good job! I am most impressed.
